I really like that you thought carefully about the questions you'd ask him. It's good to ask questions that you wouldn't be able to answer yourself through research (online or offline). Perhaps next time you could include some pictures of Sir Edmund Hillary and even Mt Everest to complement your post. :)
Two questions I would probably ask are; ‘How far up Mt Everest were you when you felt the air getting noticeably thinner?’ and ‘ Did you see anyone who had frozen to death on the climb?’. I bet the mental struggle was almost as tough as the physical climb, I can’t imagine trying to climb in that environment, could you? Would you?
